Title: farallon network card
Post by: Marcel21674 on July 25, 2015, 01:06:48 PM
Found an old Farallon ethermac pc card. I wonder if I can use in on my amiga 1200. Problem is, I can't find any modelnumber on it.
Only numbers I see: 8960851-00-03. then some barcode and then, 0000C556AB80. The last number seems to be the mac adres, correct?

Does anyone know which card this is, and if I can use it on the 1200.
If so, which drivers do I need?

 thank you very much

So going by a quick google and some photos of it, yes it should work. As to what driver then things get a little harder.

I would plug it in and try the drivers available on aminet.

I'm not familiar with the card, but if it's a standard PCMCIA ethernet card you could try Miami with Cnet.device from Aminet? or Cnet16.device (same archive).

Miami or any TCP/IP stack will work. I run Roadshow but you have to purchase that, doesn't really matter though.

Some Farallon cards should work with 3c589.device.
