Title: 23-pin cables?
Post by: Kremlar on July 23, 2015, 03:45:53 AM
I have a couple of cables here that I got with a bunch of other Amiga stuff.

One is a 23-pin male to female cable, about 1.5 feet long.

Another is a 23-pin male to male cable, probably about 6 feet long.

What is the most likely use for these cables?  Wondering if I should ditch them.  Rather not try to use them for something in the future and risk blowing something up...

Thanks!

Male DB23 connectors are for external floppy and female for video.

Could be extending cable for either monitor or floppy. As power might be an issue the shorter one is leaning to the floppy. I bought one from Redmond cable but labeled it.

Are you sure the other M<->M is 23-pin? A 25-pin M<->M is by far more common.
