I've had to switch to v1.5.0 (I was trying to port v1.6.0 but was having compiler issues).
Finally added 'real' MIDI support to this project after people have been asking me to do it for years ;)

Should be able to stick it up on AmiNet in the next couple of weeks.

Excellent!

Cool ! Can you tell us more about your hardware setup please ? Thanks a lot !

Somebody said you had stopped coding for the Amiga , this is obviously not true, which is awesome. Great work as always :)

What wallpaper is that?
-
Impressive work once again!
-
Thanks a lot for your hard work NovaCoder! Played quite a lot on your last version!
@mahen - I am quite sure he got a 060 in his A1200 :)

First MIDI version now available on AmiNet (v1.5.0 AGA 060).

I'll try and upload the other versions over the next few weeks, have fun :)
My hardware is: 060 @ 80Mhz, IdeFix Express using a SSD HD Module, Indy Mrk2 with HDMI output & and a MIDI interface hooked up to a lovely Roland SC-55 Mrk2 :)
I made the wallpaper from a PIC I stole off the Net

Hi ! Would it be possible to get a 020 build too in order to run it on a MiST (Minimig AGA) ? A new core that was recently released gives performance figures comparable to a 65 MHz 68030 (according to Sysinfo), which should be OK for ScummVM ?
That would be awesome :)

Ah, cool on the wallpaper.
It is cool work that you do. B )

Why can't you just use the 030 build? It uses basically the same opcodes as an 020 just with more cache (AFAIK)
All three v1.5.0 AGA versions are now available on AmiNet (http://aminet.net/search?name=ScummVM)
I'll try and upload an RTG version of v1.5.0 in the next couple of weeks...

hi, need help!! trying the 030 version on my A1200 with ACA1233 and every time i try to add games it crashes and gives a dialog box saying 'suspend or reboot', any idea how to sort this?! tried with winuae with an image of my hard drive and it loaded fine.

Hi,
It could be anything...what hacks/patches are you using? I know that CyberBugFix causes problems, there are probably others.
Have you tried commenting out the 'CLOSE_WB' ToolType?
Are you using 3.1 ROMS?
You are better off posting questions in the ScummVM AGA support thread (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=56815)
Also don't forget to check the readme...I put lots of useful info in there!

I just uploaded the RTG version to AmiNet. I made this version a bit different, now you can have the launcher run in a different resolution to the games (Launcher up to full HD) and then switch between them.
God only know how this approach will work on a real RTG Amiga...I only had WinUAE to test it on.
-
I'll give the RTG version a shot when I get a minute later today and let you know. Awesome work again, NovaCoder! slaapliedje P.S. I'll also have to test if it'll behave with the USB -> MIDI cable I have, that'd be awesome.

Yes some feedback would be cool, no idea how the RTG version works on a real Amiga.
Hopefully you can edit the ToolTypes and bump up the Launcher resolution to something cool like 1280x720....hopefully that won't be too slow!

So, I attempted to 1) change the overlay resolution.
, 2) enable MIDI (VGA version) and 3) play King's Quest 1.
1) was a complete bust. Tried it at 1920x1080 and it outright crashed, then ran it at 1280x720 and it didn't seem to do anything at all, just wouldn't launch. Went back to 640x480 and it launched fine.
2) Selected CAMD in the global options, but it wouldn't let me select anything within the 'Edit Game' options.
3) Not sure if it's something else on my system, or just that I enabled MIDI, but as soon as I start the game, I get a gray screen and I sat there for some time to wait for it to load and got nothing.
For what it's worth, the 060 version didn't fair much better (didn't change any config there, just added the VGA version of King's Quest 1 and it gave me a black screen when it started.)
For troubleshooting purposes, I had DVI connected to one LCD monitor, and the VGA of the Indivision MKI connected to my 55" LG TV. That way it'd switch better between the two without me mucking about with it (The TV likes to not connect to the DVI -> HDMI connector for some reason unless it's already there when the Amiga starts outputting to it)

That doesn't sound massively positive ;)
As far as the using the larger screen modes. You must actually have these 8 bit screen modes available on your system (Monitor->Prefs). I tested up to true HD in WinUAE and it seemed to work just fine. The other problem is that you may be running out of video memory (not sure how much you have). You could try 800x600 or even 1024x768 if you want to go bigger than the default 640x480.
The only way you'll get MIDI to work with your USB device is if CAMD itself supports it. My application talks to CAMD and then you need to make CAMD talk to your device. Is there a USB driver for CAMD?
Try and get it to work without using CAMD first (disable general MIDI in the Launcher) and then if that works OK you can try and enable CAMD.
Also check the README, lots of helpful advice in there ;)
Have you watched my awesome setup video yet?

Poseidon does support CAMD, so that's what I was trying, I haven't tried it with anything else though.
I do have 1.7mb free chip and 270mb or so of fast memory available upon boot. Though it does seem I'm missing some somewhere, since I should have 128mb from the Radeon card, 128mb from a ZorRAM and 128mb from the Cyberstorm MK 1.
I'll test out more when I get home from work.

Hi guys,
I'm very happy to inform you that relnev did a new build of ScummVM RTG 1.8.0 based on what NovaCoder left as sources. Kudos to both these two guys.
It still need a bit of polishing but it already works well.
Here is a quick video of it running Sam'n'Max and Curse of Monkey Island :

Enjoy it and feel free to show us videos of gameplays and come to discuss it with us on IRC.
