I like the buttons. They look a lot better with my theme then the stock ones do!

Hi there!

Here you are my grab:
ftp://de.aminet.net/pub/aminet/pix/wb/WinUAEcustWB1.jpg

I personally don't like the idea of being "colonized" by Linus styled icons: I feel losing something...
I really like PNG icons with their alpha channel possibility but they aren't truly amiga icons (at the moment no 2nd click state!).

So I've started drawing amiga 100% icons by myself.
Have a look at the work in progress with MIME type:
http://www.locati.it/mario/mime_grab_01.jpg

Basic idea is to have 16:9 icons instead of vertical shaped icons because:
- file names are orizontal and nearly always they're longer than icons
- I think 16:9 landscape monitor are the way to go
- there's more space for writes on the icons
- the window file reorder function can make a better layout
- and... I personally like the results!

Bye now: back to drawing icons process!

Hi Acill,

some suggestion for a better look with those button set:

choose a white background for IBrowse, with Mui/Windows Window

then goto Buttons and choose the frame size to 0
and the background color to white.

As a side effect, all the buttons (even the one in the browser window, will become white) . . .but you can live with it :-)

Ciao

Faramiga:

Can I just make Ibrowse with a white background? I set it in MUI as white and it made all app using mui with a white background. Some dont look good like that because it hides some details in them.

You have to only change the background colour for Ibrowse, of course :)

Open Ibrowse, enter mui settings from there, change what needs changing and save it.

There's probably a right way to do it as well, but I don't know of it :)

Sincerely,

-Kenneth straarup.

Hi Acill,

yes ofcourse, only for IBrowse.

Every MUI apps, has its own MUI configuration.

No need to change anything, in the Global MUI config.

In IB, you can choose from the popup gadget on the top window bar (the first on the left) or from the IB menu Preferences/MUI.

Ciao

virgola, looking really good. :-)
Do you want to share your icons?
Do you use any extra program to make your WB look so nice?

Oh man I hate waiting :-)
Well well, so how did you get the OS4 look or is that in the package too?

Hi

I was desperatelly searching for some OS4 VisualPrefs+Birdie files...Thanks!!

Do you had included all the OS4 Birdie Active+Pasive Patterns and VisualPrefs Buttons?

I think that you are the first one that had released
OSs4.0 theme that can be used with VisualPrefs!!

So lets wait for the Next Aminet update...

regards

Albert

@virgola:

Great icons! :-)

and it's a good idea to make them 16:9

Are you using 256colours for each icon or do you use a shared palette?
