Here's a thought: using an FTP program like AmiFTP, download the entire collection of files from Aminet and burn them to BluRay, then show off those as a "real complete collection."  You could even print up a real pretty disc to go over the collection making it a Real Collectors Item!

This should empress pretty much nobody, as would any collection of arbitrarily printed out CDs of a known and available set of files...

Oh, yeah, [insert smiley face here] to prove I am being sarcastic.

I got this...

"There were 12 Aminet Sets released. The last individual Aminet CD released was #52 in Dec 2002. Urban Müller announced early last year that he wasn't releasing any further CDs simply because people could download the software for themselves and hence there was little demand for them. There's probably nothing stopping people from leeching all of Aminet and burning it to DVD nowadays. Only thing is that over the years some files have been withdrawn or lost in server meltdowns, so the Aminet CDs are the only way of getting close to a complete snapshot of what's been on Aminet from the start up to the end of 2002."

Whats ya gonna do?

I know the early sets were "unique" compilations, but I thought the later Aminet Sets were just bundles of the 4 most recent individual CDs?

After a certain number of days, you become Moses and your post is written on stone tablets.
