Nice! I'd request a signature on everything I bought. :)

Hope whoever grabs the Amiga Technologies PPC Project Documents will digitise and upload them.

The PIOS one board is interesting. In fact the entire PIOS one project was fascintaing. It seemed to get pretty far along the development pathway, but is seldom mentioned these days...

Mike.

Mainly books, NVM. Maybe he'll list something else, I remember some time ago he had another moving sale similar to this but had some very nice hardware in that one :-)

This computing book has a picture of Leonard Nimoy on the front, Dave could double the auction price by noting that!

But his shipping prices are insane, $100 just for shipping is nuts.

Yeah, I was going to bid on a baseball cap, but $68 shipping!!! UPS may work in the US, but not to Canada. They would probably charge another $30 brokeage fees, $25 duty etc. Regular mail...about $7 :-).

I wonder if Trevor is watching these auctions,  be interesting to see some PPC cards re-appear for classic machines at an affordable price.

I was hoping to see the Amiga Walker prototype.. someone must have it hidden away.

Not sure what you think these auctions would have to do with PowerUp cards.  The designs were by Phase 5 and were sold to DCE when P5 were in financial trouble.
If you got the schematics from DCE they'd not be much use since many of the components used would not be available or ROHS compliant.

You'd have to design a whole new system which would probably be more expensive than a SAM, would be less powerful and strangled by the buses on your Amiga which itself wouldn't be much more than an I/O dongle.

Can't remember if there were more than one prototype of the Walker but there was one guy who used to frequent the Amiga forums who had one.  I think he put up for sale some years back.

I wanted the amiga 500 technical manual but the shipping price is out of the question.

I have bought lots of stuff on ebay from both canada and usa but never been close to $100 and I bought lots of stuff.

International shipping from the US is a huge pain in the ass.  I clicked  on every book in his listing and there wasn't a single one with  shipping costs more than $4 bucks, within the US.  Sorry guys, guess  you'll just have to move closer!

I agree with that. Whenever, I see documentation related to a retro platform I think the same thing. Please make that content available online for the future.

That isn't a "computing book", its a copy of an issue of Creative Computing magazine.
Creative Computing was one of the earliest and most influential magazines in hobbyist computing.
When I was originally researching SWTPC systems, they were in publication.
The issue's value is only increased by Nimoy's photo.

Its a neat piece of history.

And I second the opinion that it would be nice to preserve the Escom PPC documentation for the community.

The shipping rates are calculated by eBay, but I have shipped a fully equipped A4000D to Italy  for $135 USD, normally $35 USD in the states.

Anyone can go online to USPS.com and get rates from the US to any part of the world the US does not have an embargo; then you could email Dave with the info.
