Title: Max number of floppy drives
Post by: curtis on February 28, 2015, 09:08:01 PM
I think I know the answer to my own question, but would like confirmation.

What is the maximum number of floppy drives that can be attached to an Amiga (any model).

I seem to remember the number is 4, DF0:, DF1:, DF2:, and DF3:.

Thanks,

Curtis

Yes, 4.

I suppose you could attach more than four, but you couldn't address them (without a firmware re-write).

no, unless you connect a diskdrive to a different port. The external floppy connector only has 3 select drive signals.

Live and learn!

Now, it becomes a hardware address issue I suppose.
