Just a question on chip set revisions, can revisions from other Amiga's be used on the A3000?
I'm look to replace damaged agnus & denise chips on my A3000 so this would be most helpful.

Yes.
Pick a 2MB Agnus in your A3000's type (NTSC/PAL) and a Denise with the mode you use (OCS/ECS).
It is best, IMHO, to avoid Angus and Dennis in/on your motherboard.

Your A3000 would use an ECS Denise chip. You can buy those all day long on ebay for under $20. It is common for battery leakage on an A3000 to damage the tracks/socket for the Denise chip, not so common for it to damage the chip itself. I'd check those other things first.
Disclaimer: anything's possible! ;)
