Any thoughts on how this drive would work on a Miggy? Say with something like a generic 'ole GVP or C= SCSI board? I have credit with this company, lol. ;)

$95? Define "Refurbished."
-
LOL, no idea. I've bought about 50 "refurbished" 300GB & 450GB SAS drives from them, Seagate's with Dell OEM firmware, to upgrade old PowerEdge servers around the office. Only a couple of them came DOA or "dead within 24 hours use", so the company has a pretty good rep around here. ;)

Well the Cheetah was a high end AV drive of yesteryear, but not built for server durability, so if "refurbished" just means they wiped it and tested it without replacing the motor and bearings... Well $95 is a bit over priced (IMHO).

I still have one of those, bolted to my Blizzard 2060. As it was 4.5 GB the software of P5 did suggest to shrink it to 4 GB and modified it then. Probably it's still in that state.

I'm not sure if this would work, but make sure you check the volume level on this drive (the noise level it generates).
Some drives of this era (seagate barracuda and I think this drive) were mean for server use and, while high quality, have a high RPM level and produce a loud whine. Not a problem in a closed server room but annoying when it's on your desktop.

I've still got 7 of those Cheetah drives in my flyer tower. ( a separate tower to my main Amiga) Although I'd say $95 for a 4.5gb steep. I've got one that's a 72gb and I payed less than $150 for it 8 years ago.
And yup, when I have that tower up and running it's really loud LOL

That's way over priced IMHO. Should be less than half that price.
