Title: Too Stupid To Configure Internet Access In WinUAE
Post by: Managarm on January 07, 2015, 01:34:23 PM
Hey Guys,

I've just installed WINUAE on my new Windows machine and all was well until I downloaded IBrowse and tried to browse the web. It complains it can't open BD Socket Library. I thought I knew the answer, but when I went to the Expansions option in the menu, all the networky stuff is greyed out. Please can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,
Rob.

Have you checked the option in winuae?. Normally you dont have to do anything on the amiga side using winuae in order to get the network running.

Settings -> Expansions -> Networks  ...  Then tick 'bdsocket.library'

See screen shot:

When I go to Expansions, the three network options are all greyed out and can't be selected. This is very strange! I'm pretty sure I never had this problem before.

All sorted, nothing to see here! The network options magically un-greyed themselves. No idea why or how but I quickly selected the BD Socket option and saved the config!

Thanks for the response though.

Cheers,
Rob.
