Hot topic, but someone had to ask:-p
Are you for or against it?
-
:-?
BTw fix your sig! :-P
-
AGAINST IT! :-x
It's utterly pervertuous to do anything with the opposite sex! It's stated in the bible!
-
WTF? :lol:
-
I'm against any people who have regularly watched soaps from marrying. I think that would slice the divorce rate by 75% at least :-)
Semi-seriously though, I think too many people learn how they should act in certain situations from the television, particularly from soaps.

I've seen it with my own eyes, that acting. At that time I didn't know what to do, flee or laugh at them in their face.
Now I've become such a complete bastard that I'd do the latter.

People just need more practice, hence the somewhat new concept of the "starter marriage"
:lol:

@Redrumola
Somehow I think that T-Bone, & I may find this somehow funnier than the folks on the other side of the pond.

I'm for a hetro marriage.
-
Well initially I was all for it, however no-one really talks about the consquences, it seems a taboo subject that I think should really be discussed more...
...yes IN-LAWS!
The extreme emotional breakdown every 28 days I can deal with. I can also just about bear sitting through something with Colin Firth in it, but when it comes to those to which I am to be related my marriage, I can't cope.
Seriously is there like some unspoken law about Mother-in-laws, or am I just unlucky?
-
I'm also for arranged marriages.
And a more structured courtship system! :lol:
-
@Unch
Nope! You're not alone!
I thought I was lucky, but I'm starting to wonder... :-D

Has anyone else noticed how good Eyso's English has become? Hell, he's getting better than me at expressing his thoughts :-D

@Bloodline
You do not have any idea how many posts I cancelled because of the language gap. :-(
-
Run that by me again?
[just joking]
-
I think Matt's right, Eyso, your English has improved a lot since you've been posting here. Trust me, it's my job!

Yes, your English is getting a lot better Speelgoedmannetje. At least he doesn't talk gobbledygook on here like they do in Windmill land (nederland). :-)

Maybe not, but you seem much more confident and extremely able in the art of English than only a few months ago!

People don't get married in the UK much any more. Do you know why? Married couples don't get any tax breaks. They don't get any benefits. They pay more rent. It's much easier to manage your finances if you're in the records as single.
And that's also why there's not much pressure here to allow gay marriages. No financial incentive. ;-)
-
LOL! :lol:

Good thing you guys have solved the financial discrimination from the other side. Still you guys have to legalise gay marriage, for those who TRULY want to marry.

Nice rainbow, but I have a question. When you first came to AO you had an avatar of a guy giving a women flowers, now you have a gay pride avatar?
-
:lol:
That was Lucas&Gea, VERY cheap and lousy Dutch schlager music.

My brother somehow picked up a very LOUD gay pride rainbow bumper sticker (not knowing what it meant, it was just a large colorfull rainbow) and put it on his truck! We didn't have the heart to tell him what it was! :lol: :pint: :roflmao:

Rainbows are also associated with hippies...

Yeah and hippies "Love the one you're with", so...

Peace! 8-)

I'd rather hang out with a gay person than a hippy any day.
So gay marriage?
How about cousins?
Brother and sisters?
Multiple wives?
All are consenting adults.
Jay Leno busts out with this the other day...
"This gay marriage thing is out of control, yesterday, in Utah, a man married five other men."
:lol:
I live in Utah. I found this very amuseing. Marriage in Utah is a strange deal. The poligamists live in the sticks with one legal wife and the others are wives only in god's eyes. There aren't that many really, but the stereotype persists. Most were imprizoned and the like. Something that may happen to gay marriage here (not really, but you never know.)
I really don't care about how many or who someone wants to marry. If your old enough to pay taxes, go to prizon, or get drafted, your old enough to drink, smoke, and decide who you want to marry, even if someone else thinks you a dumbass.
-
@McNorris
Agreed! :-D
