Merry Christmas, folks!
In the next few days, the configuration tool for the Lyra 3 PS/2 keyboard adapter will appear in the Aminet. Lyra 3 allows you to connect standard PS/2 keyboards to the Amiga. Unlike former members of the Lyra family, Lyra 3 is configurable from the Amiga by software, and thus allows you to customize the keyboard mapping as you please, just by running a program on your machine.
Turned out pretty helpful for me as I'm quite picky about the keyboard (as a fast ten-finger typist). Control, CAPS, HELP and backslash are where I want them to be on my replacement keyboard.
The tool comes completely with binary, installer script, multiple PS/2 keyboard layout definition files and guide. In case you have a PS/2 keyboard with a layout I do not yet have covered, please feel free to create such a file (see the guide) and send it to my usual email to allow inclusion it in a future version. (US, german, spanish, portuguese, french, british, belgian, dutch, swedish, finish, norwegian, swiss, italian, canadian and icelanding are already covered).
For details on Lyra 3, and ordering information, see http://wiki.icomp.de/wiki/Lyra_3
Greetings, and Happy Holidays,
Thomas

Great news, thanks.
As I understand from wiki, it will be available for big box Amigas?
I was planning to get Lyra2 for a A1200 tower conversion, is Lyra 3 planned for 1200 as well?

It's actually a question Jens could answer a bit better, but as far as I understand the story, the hardware of Lyra 3 is not so much different from Lyra 2, though the firmware had been enhanced. Thus, I believe it should be easy (if it isn't done in first place) to offer that for the small Amigas at once.

Any guess on the release date or cost?

Actually, I'm the wrong person to ask such questions, though from what I know, this should be ready really soon now. The hardware is ready, the software is ready (and now available in the Aminet as I found this morning). Again, as far as the price is concerned, this is up to Jens. From what I know, it is a low two-digit house number. Pricing is really up to the vendors.
