Title: EasyNet Update?
Post by: Kernel on December 06, 2014, 05:19:17 AM
I have EasyNet 0.172 and the LiveUpdate indicates there are updates but there's nothing to select - it's all a bunch of HTML garbage.

I've sent an email to AmigaKit asking about an update and have not received a response so I assume it got lost in the ether.  I see there is an update floppy available for purchase and while I can order that as a last resort, it's 2014...  is there an update downloadable from somewhere?

I even found the EasyNet update page with a Google search and entered by email address, name, and serial number and the button to send the data is broken apparently.

I have never had any luck with easynet, I don't know why they called it easynet as it is far from easy :(

There should be a Pro version based on AmiTCP VER 4.X rather than the crappy version 3, but there is no way to know if that is what's being sold.

Ok then what is recommended as an alternative?  I could use MiamiDx but what are the other options?  I've seen Genesis, Termite, and Roadshow mentioned before?

Genesis is by far the easiest to setup, I bought easynet from amigakit thinking it was going to be just that..easy but it was not so ended using genesis from my os3.9 disc
