Some years back now, I decided to become a sponsor to help this software development, AVD or FreeAVD.
After a while I figured I had done my part and stoppet my payments. (I already had payed the amount required to get a copy of the full AVD software when finished)
This was in 2012. I then got a mail from the developer confirming my contribution, and a statement that the project was still going.
But since then I've heard nothing, and the news on their webpage have no recent info.

I have started to believe that this project might never be finsihed...
Does anyone here have any news about this?

Does the Developer's email bounce?

Jamie had gone to work for Amiga Inc. for a while, and during that time was not able to work on AVD. (Be it contractual prohibition, not enough time, or whatever, no work was done on AVD during that time) After that contract ended, it sounded like he was becoming interested in AVD work again, but I haven't seen anything for a while about that either. It did sound like he might collaborate with Codebench authors instead, for their product, but it's hard to tell if anything actually happened there.

@ biilt
The links you gave are way older than 2012 TS mentioned.
And they don't give a hint on why or what keeps Jamie away from his supporters.
Seems the project is dead and abandoned.

??
The newest post at the OP's link is November 2010... OP said he stopped paying in 2012. (I'm not sure why anyone would have waited that long)
My assumption is that it is either abandoned, or he is silently contributing to Codebench instead (so still sortof abandoned as AVD).
It's been ages since we've seen anything from Jamie, so hard to remain optimistic IMHO... I was really looking forward to AVD back in the day. Too bad he wasted so much time under Amiga Inc. (I don't know if he feels it was wasted time, but did any of us observe something actually happening from AI?)

....lazyness. It was a paypal subscription with a smaller monthly amount. For a period I actually forgot all about it and one day I went through my bank statements and got aware of it again.

Sorry, i didn't want to be offending.
It's just because you'd searched the web for it and the links provided did shed no light on it. I'd expected too much. my bad.
I'd felt a little dissappointed about the situation, but later i got aware that JK vanishing from screen might be due to serious problems and not just feeling bored from the project.

Just got reply from Jamie Krueger.
He have been busy with another big project (not amiga related) that is close to be released. He is planning to make time to continue his work on AVD after this.
He also say that if he for some reason is not able to resume on AVD in 2015, he will organize to get the source code available for the Amiga community.
But his primary intention is to do the work himself.
