Hi folks,
I've made this mistake before & not using my A1 very often...I forgot & did it again.
Last time the only fix I could figure out was to get rid of RuninUAE & re-eninstall, but there must be a simpler way...
Basically, I ran a game from a USB flash drive & now every time I run a game on my HDD it asks for the flash drive & I have to assign the HDD partition the game is on (happens with every game every time, even after assigning the last time with the same game).
It's infuriating & I'm sure there is an easy fix, I just can't figure it out.
Can someone please help me here?
PZ.

So I just replaced the entire "Emulation" folder from a backup before this problem & it's still asking for the USB drive when I run an adf...WTF?!?!
-
Now reinstalled files to boot partition from the backup & it's still happening.
Time to burn an Amiga in spectacular fashion!!!!

Maybe it creates an ENV variable?

Maybe it creates an ENV variable?
Thanks for the reply :)
I'm not a software guy...can you please elaborate?

You should have a drawer named Env in your Ram Disk. (Assigned as Env: ). Check if there is runinuae configuration file in there that you can edit.
Note that there also is a folder sys:envarc (assigned as envarc: ) that gets copied into Ram:Env on every reboot, so if you must change something in that config file it must also be changed in the envarc drawer to be permanent.

it asks for the flash drive & I have to assign the HDD partition the game is on
assign it to RAM:, then run a different game from the HD.
I think that will fix it.

Thanks for the suggestions folks, however I still have the same problem.
envarc does seem to exist in OS4.1 & assigning the games to RAM doesn't resolve it either.
Thinking I'll just start with a re-install of the entire OS. But knowing a solution would be great for next time I buggerize it! LOL

Did you read these sections regarding the config files? http://cshandley.co.uk/runinuae/#6_16
Also the following section mentiones something about the choice to overwrite the configfiles when reinstalling.

Yeah, that could have been it.
Already restored from a backup & posting again from my uA1 that doesn't look for a certain USB drive when running a game :)
Will look into that the next time I mess it all up!
Cheers :D
