Hi, I have just downloaded an Amiga speed test program and ran it and it came up with these figures 000176957 is this a good reading or not ?only I am not sure exactly what it means ,best wishes Brian .:):):)

Hi thanks for reply,I have a older sysinfo but just wondered how fast my Amiga was on the net hence the Amiga speed test lol

Exactly! What machine? What browser? What OS? I've never found a speed test that would work without proper java support (I've asked here several times). :(

Hi the program was called Amiga speedtest off Aminet ,the os is 3.9,i use ibrowse and Roadshow and its Amiga 1200

OK, tried the software (it sure does mess with my screen rez!)...
I get 000184000 apx.....
Which would seem to translate to about 1.8 MB/S (meg per second)
Not bad for an 11MB/S wireless card on an A1200! :)

Hi that's close to what mine reads only I am using a Easytnet pcmia Ethernet card with roadshow is this ok then? lol

That's great for your Miggy! I'm sure that your actual bandwidth from your Internet Provider is much higher. You'd have to test your bandwidth with a modern Windows/Linux machine to get a more accurate measurement though.

Hey Brian, remember that just 10 years ago, most peeps' internet bandwidth was a whopping 700 KB/S!!! Thank Ipthar for the Flux Capacitor! :roflmao:
