Title: parallel port zip drive

will a iomega  parallel  port  drive  work  on a amiga parallel port?

Well it does, you just need to build a special cable, as linked above.  Drivers are in the archive too, works fine I used it that way in the late 90s.

I see SCSI ZIP drives starting on ebay for .99 cents.  Might be a better/cheaper/faster/more compatible option than making your own cable?  Just IMHO, if you already have a SCSI interface.  :)

Sadly, the parallel port Zip does work, but very, very slowly; try to use a SCSI or IDE instead, depending on your options

was  on  ebay  .and i dont have a printer attached  ..just thought it might be cool..what id really like is to attach  my orb drive  but its scsi2  cable ..i got a squirel  never been able to find a adaptor..its  sat on my amplifier  as a paper weight for 6 years now..and  sorta hesistant  ..dont wanna muck up my 1200  workbench  etc ..looks good these days ..even plays mpegs!!  ..
