Good to see some Steampunk mods actually doing something - many thus far have been like gold (or copper, in this case) plating a turd. All show and no go.
Nice to see guys actually tying in design elements into cooling via copper tubing and etc., vs just gluing some leather and old tractor oil pressure gauges in for nothing more than visual effect.

Where is the nostalgia on this?

Those sure are some ugly enclosures :(
Where is the nostalgia on this?
Nowhere :D
EDIT:- Sorry click wrong button and edited post instead of quoting, :(.

The nostalgia is in the Steampunk factor. If you are not a fan of Steampunk, I imagine these mods make very little sense to you, heh.
I was always a fan of the Steampunk laptop that Leo Laporte used to use occasionally on the air.

The nostalgia is for the Victorian since that's where steampunk draws it's inspiration from.

I have nostalgia for things from the '80s, since I can remember those days fondly (despite the alcohol induced haze). I don't think anyone alive today can really say they have "nostalgia" for Victorian-era pieces, lol. ;)

OK. It's an abuse of the language but there's another word being abused in the thread title and nobody is complaining about that when.
Perhaps it should have been titled "Excellent cases for those with romantic notions of a bye-gone era" but I think most people understand what he means.

Alright it really comes under art, not nostalgia. I thinking: if you like retro then this is very retro.

I thought it was just me, I would never have a case like that.

A really great build, a lot more retro smelling then pure steampunk builds in my opinion :) A great Swedish modder :)
