Title: Turboscan 1500 scan doubler now on E-Bay. Best scan doubler for the Amiga
Post by: Antiriad on September 08, 2014, 03:45:58 AM
Guys

I have no affiliation to the e-bay listing but one thing I have to say is that the Turboscan 1500 is one of the best professional scan doublers you can get right now. Back in 1999-2001 these used to cost 2-3k new. Unfortunately the company had gone out of business in 2003-2004.

I have used this with my Amiga 1200 and my C64 via S-Video and the Video quality is exceptional. It displays the colors correctly and no artefacts around sprites when compared to the GBS-8220. It also has a flicker fixer function that reduces the flickering in most high res modes.

I am sick and tired of these 150$+ GBSs on E-Bay that are sold for 4-5 times the plain unit costs.

The only thing you need is an Amiga RGB to VGA port adapter, 1 VGA cable and a F-F Gender changer.

To whoever is interested here is the listing.
