Ok,
i want to have a nice backdrop picture...
One with a `clipper` in full-sail off a golden beach (with perhaps a nice island and palm trees there as well)
Found an interesting link though.
http://www.ambergriscaye.com/wallpaper/page7.html (http://www.ambergriscaye.com/wallpaper/page7.html)
No luck, i`ll have to make one...Unless any one has a link for me...

How about this (http://www.hetzeeuwselandschap.nl/saeftinghe/images/zeekraalinkom.jpg)? Or this (http://members.ams.chello.nl/gbek/amicitia/images/7231017.jpg)? Or this (http://www.festinalente.nl/festinalente/portfolio/natuur/images/SIMG5587.jpg)? Or this (http://www.festinalente.nl/festinalente/portfolio/natuur/images/Simg2161.jpg)?

No!
A backdrop with a sailing ship , with full sails sailing to-wards you... off a golden beach, palm trees ,
like i saw out my window once...
No offence to your pictures , but
They weren`t up to my rigorous standards... :-)

@blobrana
Here's a nice picture of a clipper.
Clipper (http://othello.mech.northwestern.edu/ea3/book/mech2/Springs_files/clipper.jpg)
But probably not what you had in himd.
On the other hand, if this one was bigger it would be awesome.
Another clipper (http://www.stadamsterdam.nl/media/foto/clipper.jpg)
Still no beach though.
This pic has two ships and some beach!!
Is this better? (http://www.wreckhunter.net/hesper8.JPG)

You have to feel these pictures. The salty sands, the raw rain in your face while the sun shines, the plants tickling under your bare feet.

Hum,
i`ve searched 2.2 billion websites and i still can`t find one!
Why is the internet so small?
Not much to ask for, and i don`t want to go and hire a tall-ship to sail past some deserted tropical island, just so i can have a measly (albeit a nice) backdrop....
Huh.

Sorted!
A quick bit of paint package stuff and i managed to cut & paste a couple of pictures together....
Tnx, everyone!
But,
If you do happen across one 800 x 600 pict then remember me... :-)

I can't help you with the backdrop problem, but that's a great avatar you've got there :-D
I was thinking the other day about replacing my Jason one with an Akhenaten one when I can be bothered :-)

Here's a damn nice one in port with the sails sheen tight.
gallery.hd.org (http://gallery.hd.org/_exhibits/tall-ships/_more2000/_more04/clipper-Stad-Amsterdam-Douarnenez-2000-tall-ship-festival-Brittany-France-1-BG.jpg)
Big sunnava beotch too!
:pint:

Damn fine Ship that!
I did manage to hunt that one down, as well as the `california` and various Russian tall ships...
The total tonnage must have been several thousand tonnes in total...
And here`s your well deserved pint... :pint:
[das boot]

like this (http://delfsail.fivelgroep.nl/delfsail/Fotos/bolsterh.JPG) Blobrana? When I (http://delfsail.fivelgroep.nl/delfsail/stadam7.JPG) was on such a tall ship (http://www.planet.nl/upload_mm/0/9/8/delfsail-30713.onlineBild.jpg)
and here (http://www.delfsail.nl/fotoreportage1.htm) are some pictures of neat tall ships during "Delfsail" (a naval festival)

Yea, that `Delfsail` link was good.
Managed to grab that pic at the top left.
Barks and sloops just don`t have that majestic quality (or displacement).
A good time was had by all, it looks to me...

Tall Ship 1 (http://waveguide.v21hosting.co.uk/tallship1.jpg)
Tall Ship 2 (http://waveguide.v21hosting.co.uk/tallship2.jpg)
Tall Ship 3 (http://waveguide.v21hosting.co.uk/tallship3.jpg)
Tall Ship 4 (http://waveguide.v21hosting.co.uk/tallship4.jpg)
You'll have to add the palm trees yourself.
Cheers,
Jax

A very very good time it was indeed. So if you like schooners really much. From everywhere (HUGE) schooners and other monumental ships come to the festival.
