Hi good folk. ☺
I have upgraded my A4000 with cyberstorm 060, mediator and spider. Recently i also installed bb3 and bb4. However, after bb4, my third partition is "not formatted" and when i check scsi.device version, it says 40.41 or 40.12, not sure.
I have followed Mfilos's wonderful guide about making your own customization rom, using Remus and splitrom-something. I include scsi.device 44.2 in the new rom, and it did not help. I tried loadmodule scsi.device and skipromupdate scsi.device in Setpatch. I tried blizkicking scsi.device but no matter what, i end up with the same old 40.12 or something.
Anyone got an idea? Also, where do i find cosmos's scsi.device ppl talk about?
Thanks in advance.

Make sure that you use the version of scsi.device for A4000. If you use the one for A1200, it won't work.

Yeah, i am. I just renamed it from scsi(A4000).device to scsi.device and put it in both the custom rom, loadmodule and devs:
I extracted all the updates from the rom update if i remember correct, that means i can Setpatch noromupdate, right? Perhaps it loads an old device from the rom update? But it shouldn't though, since i put skipromupdate "scsi.device" ?

Sorry for quoting myself, i could not find any edit function, perhaps i wasn't logged in.

If you create a new kickstart with all the updatet bits and pieces from the extracted ROM update, and manage to boot from that one - then yes, you can use "noromupdate".
In an A4000 you could also install a zorro card that will hold kickstart modules :)

For A1200 there have been several projects, no idea of any of them ever turned into solid products. I believe they would work on A3000 and A4000 as well.
