I have an A2000 ECS that recently had a Picasso II board in it. I removed refs to Picasso96 in SS and US and removed the monitor type from Devs/Monitors, yet I boot in 640x200 NTCS. I change the ScreenMode to NTSC Laced or PAL Laced or anything and get no change in screen mode at all. IT does not try to close all windows and change, as normal.
What could it be? This is an NTCS A2000 with 3.1 ROMs and WB 3.1. Worked fine before the Picasso II was installed and Picasso96.
Thanks.

Which references were there in Startup-Sequence? Normally there are none. The only change done by Picasso96 to the startup scripts is an assign Picasso96: in user-startup. And even this is not necessary.
You probably removed something from Startup-Sequence whis is needed for normal operation.

I think IPrefs is the task responsible for changing screenmodes. Make sure that's still in your startup-sequence. I don't know if P96 patches/replaces it, so maybe consider restoring from your original 3.1 WB disk.
