Please post photos, suggestions, improvements, hacking, step by step assembly, interesting builds of your X500 Evo and Plus cases.
I'll start with this blog by Marios (white X500 Evo), first two pages:

Looks great, I always enjoy his blog posts. Very thorough! :)
-
Cheers :)
3 articles already, and there's still a lot of work to be done... we'll see :)
-
That heatsink is fantastic!

More progress from Marios and his X500 Evo:

;)
D'OH! You beat me to it...yeah that heatsink is a beast!
-
LOL yeah it is. A bit pricey but you always get what you pay for :)
Can't wait for the GPU and some more parts to arrive from the U.S. and China... oh well!
-
Great stuff, you must be very proud of your achievement.
I personally love this case. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but the case always reminds me of the Acorn Archimedes.
-
Yes...I think it's the extra keys...it reminds me (and I designed it) of the Atari ST and the Sinclair PC200...it must be the 80s boy in me. :D

Pic doesn't show up for me. Possible to attach it directly to a post here? :)

Hi,

He's nearly finished his X500 Evo...waiting for some white silicone mounts for the top fans.

He is on a roll! :)

Almost near the end of possibly one of the best kitted out X500 Evos, from Marios again:

What an excellent job sir! You made me proud! :D

Nice work but a little oversized for a PC
-
Love your Amiga blogs Mario! Always informative, educational & entertaining! :)
-
Thanks guys :)
I always try to do my best to fit my needs. Irritating part is documenting everything but I guess that's how many people get motivated (as I do the same reading other blogs).
It's indeed a big case (as the A500 is anyway). Despite not being a beasty PC, it's really legit for everyday usage and mid specc gaming :)
-
Yes, it all fits in a C64 like the one with which I'm posting since three years ago ;). http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=58992
What mini ATX are you using?
Great project.
-
If anyone is interested I should have one or two X500 Evo left when I've finished assembling the last ones. I'll let you know the exact number later. Thanks! ;)

Another update from Marios and his X500 Evo blog. A well kitted out X500 Evo indeed, looking forward to seeing the software part soon.
