Title: Help Needed: ICD AdRAM 540 With a REV 6a, 1 meg populated Motherboard.
Post by: kjmann on August 06, 2014, 05:20:06 PM
I have a nice Rev 6a A500 with 1 meg of chip Ram Already on the  motherboard. How do I configure the ICD AdRAM to act as just Fast Ram?

I have already checked Amiga Resource and the Big Book of Amiga Hardware Page, But I still haven't found anything about this.

Any Help Would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Just going out on a limb, the Amiga Resource website mentions something about an AdRam program needed to recognize the additional memory. Are you running that?

FYI memory added through the trapdoor slot will never be "true fast ram", like what's added through the side connector or through an accelerator in the processor socket. But am sure you know that already. :)

The first 2 megs are auto configured and are supposed to be available without software. anything above 2 megs only works in workbench with the software driver installed. I am unable to get it to show more than 1 meg od chip ram, which is installed on my motherboard.
