I have a just got an A1200 in a Power Tower case with 16mb RAM and a 68030 CPU & 68882 FPU ext board, 1gb HD & CD.
It runs really well, it also has a Commodore 1084S Monitor that I am running Workbench 3.1 on at PAL High Res, 256 colours, (Out of the A1200 Video Port.
What I would like to know, is this the best it can do on this monitor?
Thanks in advance.

Thats about the best you are going to pull out of it. Its an RGB monitor not a VGA. You basicly have a good high res TV. I would recomend you get a mediator and then you can use a real VGA video card.

Did you maximize the overscan settings in prefs and then adjust the screen size pots on the back of the 1084 to match? This will get you the maximum real estate.

Turn the volume up to 'LOUD' :-D
