Title: Delfina Plus issues
Post by: matt3k on July 03, 2014, 03:07:52 AM
My Delfina Plus started giving isues...

It only plays MP3's for a few minutes then it start sputtering and soon after locks up.

I tried reseating the memory. Is this a cap issue?

I would like to try and repair the card...

Not an authority on these but do the following:

Clean the Zorro and contact edges with rubbing alcohol.
Inspect the board for signs of cap leakage, you'll see caustic chemicals on the legs of the caps.

If those two fail then I'd start replacing the caps.

@ultri007
I wrote the book, ok only a setup guide:), on the correct driver version.  I know for certain I have all the right stuff.

@TeamBlackFox
I tried that first.  Thanks...

@Marmes

That's what I'm suspecting.  I will try replacing the memory and see if that fixes it...  I don't think the DSP or the Audio chip failed but this will tell.

Now the good luck in finding the memory...:)  Perhaps I should track down broken Delfinas...
