So finally came ( well packaged ) from a Craigslist/New Orleans deal - persuaded the gentleman to ship it to me for $325 including a lot of floppies with WB 3.1 and 2.0 and 1.3 among other things.
Anyways unboxed and set it up as you see here at this external URL:

I had the 1084S but the keyboard mouse and system itself all came in together.
Under that is a headless SPARCStation I need to install OpenBSD on and the monitor on the left is for my FreeBSD setup.
Plans:
Needs an HDD - I'll probably get a UW SCSI to SCSI 2 converter since I have some nice sized SCSI disks laying about.
Networking - how can I get it on a network? Back when I used AmigaOS I didn't have internet. Do I have to get a network card or can I use some sort of serial cable and bridge it with my desktop?
DVD Drive - I have a SCSI DVD-rom. Does OS 3.1 have CD support or not?
Also keep in mind none of my computers run Windows so anything that involves another computer needs to be applicable to UNIX.

Congrats on setting up your new system!

Serial links can be done, but they're hard to configure and sloooooow. Best grab one of these (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=32&products_id=1156) instead.

Kinda sorta just barely. It exists, but it's really lousy. It'll do if you need to sneakernet some files over from a Unix box, but it's best to keep them archived and then extract on the Amiga to preserve the correct protection bits (and filenames - OS3.1's CDFileSystem makes a mess of them). AmiCDFS, AsimCDFS, CacheCDFS, and BabelCDFS are your other options. The fact that you're using SCSI makes things easier - no need to mess around with ATAPI drivers.

Perfect! X-Surf is gonna need to wait probably but I can make due with floppies if I finish my headless Sun, i can just curl them there and dd the disks ( Thank hell for dd just copying the raw images )
