Title: Fractals For SketchBlock Released
Post by: broadblues on June 17, 2014, 12:58:40 AM
At the weekend I was very pleased to be able to release my first commercial software venture.

Fractals For SketchBlock (http://www.broad.ology.org.uk/amiga/sketchblock/fractals)

What is Fractals For SketchBlock?

An advanced fractal generator for SketchBlock, with a wide range of variable parameters, enabling the creation of many, many, different fractal based animations and still images. From traditional mandlebrot and julia sets, to more complex hybrid images.

What will I get?

Fractals For SketchBlock consists of the binary fractals.ptf transform plugin for SketchBlock, plus the Fractals.py script which provides an easy to use users interface, and a selection of presets. Advanced users may program the plugin directly via SketchBlock's arexx interface for even greater power.

I created a stream of example images in my website site gallery here:

here (http://webplus.broad.ology.org.uk/docs/gallery/thumbgallery.php?dir=./__cat__0002/__cat__0003/__cat__0002)

The most recent of which was created using the output of Fractals For SketchBlock in blender as a texture.

You can buy Fractals For SketchBlock for just £5.00 from the link above.

Thanks in Advance for your support!

Oooh... nice, Andy! I have been enjoying the Fractals plugin with SketchBlock.... using it with your Blender port will add to my good times on my modern Amiga. :) Thank you for the idea ... and the software, of course.

@mbrantley

same here. andy's software rocks, and the new fractals add-on is terrific. i've gone ahead and added it to our commercial software (http://www.intuitionbase.com/static.php?section=commercial) listings.

Another example render, this one combines two renders of the same fractal (inkspill.py preset) with colour by iteration on and off (each on a seperate later) then combines them with the difference blend mode.

I don't see the system requirements anywhere, will this run on OS3.9?

No, SketchBlock requires AmigaOS 4.1update4 or better, and so by inheritance Fractals does too.
