Hey folks!
I am ussing my Amiga 4000 to listen some online radio.
I am trying to listen this under AMPlifier 2.34: http://www.cloudrad.io/mercuryradio/listen.pls, it will stick into buffering 87% as the program tries to load the stream. The title of the song would appear on the playlist window, so a connection is happening. After many many tries the stream would sometimes play..... Tried to play with buffer and pre buffer settings, tried aHI and X-Audio no luck. Any suggesitons? Can you test it for me?
I got a Cyberstorm 060 / PPC, no soundcard.
The same stream plays fine under AmigaAMP but I want to know why it does not work with AMPlifier.
Plus
Is there any newer version of AMPlifier available?
AminetRadio is another great choice. have found a 68k version on Amikit pack but it does not work on my simple 3.9 install. It will freeze no matter what I try to do.
Any stable 68k version of AminetRadio around?
AmigaAMP is cool anyway but I want to try those tow alternatives AMPlifier / AminetRadio. As AmigaAMP seems to stretch the system a lot.
Something last: Speaking about AmigaAMP where I can get the PowerUP engine to use it on the program in order to have better performance and use equalizer?
Did a quick search on aminet but did not find anything of those software parts I am asking for :(
Thanks.

Maybe your AmigaOS install is damaged? AmiNetRadio should run without issues on it.

Never had a problem with this install.

That radio stream plays nice with AminetRadio on my AmiKit Real setup on WinUAE http://real.amiga.sk/. You'll find now it already has a lot of radio streams saved, so you just have to press on the Play simbol to start the first.
It will work right to play radio streams with WinUAE or a powerful accelerator like yours. For the rest of people it's also possible to play radio streams with a MAS player and configuring AMPlifier or AmigaAMP, but AminetRadio can't be configured to use the MAS.

Try a fresh install of AmiNetRadio (http://amigazeux.net/anr/). If you're copying it from AmiKit, it's probably configured to expect other things on the system that you don't have.

Sorry, don't mean to derail but, how come when I run AMPlifier on my A1200 with ACA 33MHz I get the dreaded Program Failed#8000000B Wait for disk activity to finish, everytime. I tried to increase the icon stack size and installed mpega020.library (doesn't work with mpega040.library either - does the program even need the library to run?) Plus, I thought the program didn't need an FPU. I'm pretty sure that I'm not having any hardware problems. This is NOT the machine in my sig. I Googled forever... Any suggestions?
BTW, Using OS3.5 BB2, Trident (turned off), AHI Using Paula driver...

@gizmo350
Does it run ok on your sig, 1200 and 2000 machibes? Perhaps somekind of incopatibility with ACA libraries?
@thread
I managed to solve o ehow the AMPlifier problem. How? Well I was ussing MiamiDX to get online. And I got this strange buffering problem... See the. Eginning of my first post.
So I used Genesis To get online and now AMPlifier works great, no buffering issues. Reason for this? Do not know... Yet.
Downloaded AmineRadio 68k, thanks for this. I still get crashes... Will make more tests tommrow. Perhps bad versions of render.library and guigfx.library? Yes those two are needed by the programm.
Still looking for AmigaAMP powerup engine.

Well, got Songplayer working for CD playback. Yeah!
Just need help with the Program Failed thing for the other machine... anyone?
OK, so I downloaded and ran AMPlifier on the A1200 in my sig and it runs without any problem... any ideas on the "Program Failed#8000000B Wait for disk activity to finish" problem on the other machine?
Will Amplifier play an audio CD (I have a FastATA MK-IV in the A1200 that Amplifier is working on - so optiacal drive is on the bus)? Do I need any other program or module to play CDs using Amplifier? I also have AHI installed on this one using Paula driver.
Sorry, two different question on two different machines....

Do you use os3.5 in both your 1200s? And is bb2 installed on both?

Yessir! 3.5 on both w.BB2. (I love 3.5!) I thought about something I can check on the other A1200... I might have TLSFM memory manager running... :confused: I'll check that tonight and see if that's the problem... Odd, I've never seen that error before and have never had a problem running any program on this machine. Hmmm. BTW, it's a 1B mobo... but the mobo works perfect with an ACA 33MHz accelerator w/o timing fixes!

@gizmo350
Have you done the testing? Any updates?

2.35 exists at least.

I have tested it with AmigaAMP (on Aros Vision) with this playlist:
