Title: A600 PCMCIA Replacement
Post by: XDelusion on May 06, 2014, 04:31:48 PM
What type do I need, where do I order a good sturdy quality one... unlike what Commodore put inside my Amiga?

Mine doesn't work either, in wb card setts it says the card is inserted but not recognised.
I don't know if it is the connector or something else :-/ the pins seems fine.

My pins are broke and bent. This was caused by an Amiga video capture card that naturally does not just slide in as it should but is very very difficult to plug in.

I love how they made crap like that.

"Oh, our hardware broke your Amiga? Well I guess we could have designed it better to make a perfect fit, but we were feeling lazy, guess you'll just have to dish out more money for a new Amiga, or find someone to replace your PCMCIA port, but hey, at least we made a profit".

I bought one at AmiStore:

http://www.amistore.de/Amiga-Hard-und-Software/Ersatzteile/PCMCIA-Einloetbuchse-Neu::58058.html

It works great.
