Title: install aca 1232 card?

Getting ready to install my new card from amigakit.
 I think I should clean the contacts  first.
 
 Can I just wipe it with isopropyl alcohol?
 Also, do I need to install   ACATune if I have kickstart 3.1 ?
Any other gotchas ?
 
 Any recommendations about the Realtime clock addon ?

While alcohols will help remove any organic deposits (oils) and if pure enough don't increase the risk of oxidation (like water), they will not remove any oxidation/corrosion.  There are chemical means for that, but the safest way is with an eraser to rub it off; then wipe down with an alcohol.  ACAtune maps the ROM and does some other good things, so I'd use it.  If you have a clock-battery add on, set the date (with DATE) and save the correct time/date with SETCLOCK SAVE, then in your startup-sequence use SETCLOCK LOAD to set the date and time when you boot.

 I started a new thread today -  the card works but I messed up my keyboard ribbon cable . 2 steps forward, 1 back.
