Hello All,
I bought a second hand FMV module for my CD32 with SX1 expansion and 4 meg of ram, the VCD movies loads fine but the picture is yellow! I am trying to play original VCD movies not the Philips CDI ones! Is there away I can adjust the colour or is the FMV module stuffed! I have tried different movies with the same result!
I would like to hear your comments on the subject!
Thanks in advance,
Merv Stent

I have owned all of this stuff at one time or another. My advice put the SX-1 away for now and try the CD32 FMV all by itself. Once you have this working CAREFULLY add back the extras. The stock CD32 PS might not be up to the task. You can also overload and pop the small "Zero Ohm" resistor on the CD32 motherboard and render it dead if you are not careful. I remember the pass-through on my SX-1 was finicky at best 20 years ago. Good Luck!
BTW I sold my FMV off years ago. Should you decide to give up on yours, and it still has the rear plastic cover, please send me a PM. I might just make you a sweet trade offer or buy it from you.

There is probably a bad connection on the blue video signal from the FMV module. RGB - blue = yellow picture.

i have a sx1 i put it back in the box ..the connection is iffy esp with the fmv attached ..i have noticed my cd32/fmv does seem more reliable an less crashy skipping frames etc if it gets a run to play a movie at least once a week ..ive got originals movies vcds an copys using easy vcd ..sometimes my cd32 needs several reboots before it settles down ..then its fine plays movie after movie no probs ..wish i had the spring in the lid though the movie cover on top seems to hold it well enuff ..

The SX1 was always "iffy" even after it was just released. The SX32 was/is much better. You could also consider replacing the CAPS on your CD32 - I had to do that on both my CD32 systems.
