I'm probably wasting my time but it's bump time (again). :)

Might help if you put in an explanation of what the 4.15 ROM does that the previous versions don't.  I know people could Google it, but it does help to just display that info.  If got a GVP RAM/SCSI board, but I couldn't tell you if that is the same as the "Combo Board" you mentioned or not.  :)

I've given GVP owners a little more credit for having greater knowledge about this topic than non-GVP owners. Also, this upgrade has been previously discussed here and on other forums just in case a Google search doesn't answer all your questions. :)

That being said, here's some more detailed info for you curiosity seekers:

- The 4.15 version is the latest ROM upgrade for GVP series II, Combo 030, G-Force 040 and A530 SCSI controller/accelerator cards.

- This version offers 4GB support and some minor performance/compatibility improvements (over previous versions).

- This version was never released by GVP. (It was released by Ralph Babel after GVP discontinued production of these SCSI controller/accelerator cards).

Sounds like it is well worth $10+S&H.  Hope you sell it.

Good Day,

I wonder if this will work on my 030@40Mhz as mine will not play nice with an X-Surf card, this may help.

I think it's only the SCSI driver, so I don't know if it will make a difference regarding that sort of compatibility.

@Matt,

I did get it to work once when my 060 board was alive. The whole machine was loaded with the 060 card in place, then put in the 030 card and changed SCSI tooltype, it worked.
 Never duplicated that fix after the 060 died.
