Hi folks,
I need four 1mb & three 4mb 60ns GVP 64 pin SIMMs for my A3001/RAM32.
They MUST be 60ns, as it won't run at 50mhz with the slower RAM I already have (70ns just won't work).
Anyway, if you have these, please let me know.
PZ.
*EDIT* - If you only have some of what I need, please let me know...happy to purchases bits & peices from various sellers!

I have a 4MB GVP SIMM that I believe is 60ns, 64 pin. I came with a 1230 GVP accelerator, but I replaced it with 2 of the 16MB SIMMs.
I will check and send pictures later today if you are still looking. I'm in North America though so I have no idea what shipping to Australia would be
-
Yes, still VERY interested!
You are the first person to come forward, so yes please, let me know :D
Cheers!
-
Okay, here are the pictures. Can you tell if this is what you are looking for?

I'll check the postal service here and find out what a small box to Australia would cost to ship. Do you have a specific postal code?
-
Yeah man, that's exactly what I'm after! :D
My postcode is 2615.
Thanks man :)

Hi there,
i have two shoeboxes full of old RAM (and just recently tested a lot of it in my A1200 w/ a 1230 board). I just have no clue how to tell exactly if the type of some is what you're looking for; The majority is old PC FPM/EDO.
If you let me know what to look for exactly i'll go through the boxes and see what i can find.

Edit:
Actually, stupid question - nevermind. The thing to mostly look for will be that its not a 32/36/72 pin, but a 64pin you're looking for ;) I'll see if i can find any. Might be a while, tho, i'm away to china soon -_-
-
Many thanks Gilthanaz!
Let me know when you return from your trip & can take a look? :)

I'll try to check the RAM boxes today or tomorrow if i can fit it in my schedule; I'll leave for my asia trip on friday and should be back early next month, if plans work out (what they never do) :)

You might have to buy old accelerators off Ebay and scrounge it from those, this stuff is bloody impossible to find. I know for a while there was a guy on Amibay making clone GVP memory, don't know why he stopped. It can't be that hard though, a circuit board of the right design, chips of the right capacity... probably easier than BigRam and ZorRam and the other boards that've come out lately... AmigaKit, help? ;)

Hi
I do not know if you can use these?

Thanks man, but I really need them all...or at least the 1mb ones.
4mb @ 60ns is useless with this accelerator, can't run 50mhz without 4x 1mb sticks @ 60ns installed first...
Already have 2x 4mb @ 60ns, so the extra 2x 4mb would be gravy on top...but as above, no 1mb @ 60ns...life sucks!

I have a GVP accelerator. You know what's going to happen once you have 4x 4MB sticks? You're going to want 4x 16MB sticks. Promise. Aaaand, good luck finding those. Darn GVP. :(

according to GVP-M website here: http://www.gvp-m.com/pricejapan.html
They have the 4M simms in stock, you may want to contact them first before ordering. They are pricey though!

Okay, for now I am giving up, as without 1mb sticks at 60ns I cannot make any progress.
Could a moderator please close this thread?
I will start another thread if I ever decide to bother pursuing this again in the future...
