Post by: Lurch on April 12, 2014, 04:15:07 AM
Nearing the end of my A1200 build (who am I kidding) I thought I'd post some photos... But I've run out of time, have to pickup the other half from work, but I'll be back. :-)

The mods/hardware, re capped A1200 motherboard, Lyra2 Keyboard, Indivision AGA MKII, Mediator 1200TX MMCD, PS2/USB/dual joystick auto switch, MAS Player Evolution, Amigamaniac PC floppy to Amiga floppy, BMON Internal Monitor Switch, Tower Case LED Adapter for A1200, 600W Thermaltake PSU, Voodoo 5 5500 64MB, Radeon 9200 256MB, orteMedia (FM-801AS), Reset connector, fan controller, Subway USB, kickstart 3.9,
4xEIDE'99 Buffered Interface (until I can raise the Mediator a little then back to the FastATA), NIC 10/100 connected to a ethernet to Wireless WPA2 adapter,Apollo 060@80MHz with 64MB of RAM, 250GB IDE PATA, DVD Writer, fluro tube lights, led feet, boing ball smiley face with glowing red eyes ;-) custom stickers "Amiga" "Boing Ball".

Probably other things I've over looked, but nevermind

Once you get everything working freeze it in a block of Carbonite to keep everything connected, because one good sneeze...

Post pictures as soon as you can; this has to be one Big Bad A1200!

I have a bad camera at the moment so the shots didn't turn out how I wanted. I wont say it's 100% working as then it wont ;-)

Will take some more of the insides, I'm in cable tidy up mode now trying to get it cleaner looking. I've made a custom mount to hold the PCI cards inside the case so when you look at the back it looks like a standard ATX case.

Used some PCI blanking plates and adapters so all the ports I need are at the back. I've hidden the joystick/mouse auto switch inside the case along with the MAS player so it's starting to look really tidy at the back.

Will have to see if I can find a better camera.

Put it up on Flickr :-)

Back panel is going to get another two coats of paint to finish it off. Never ending :-)

Looks great!  Surprised no one has commented that you need to cover up the Microsoft logo on that mouse yet.

Ah the joys and agonies of towering the 1200:) thanks for posting and keep the pics coming as I'll be setting up my first 1200 tower too soon.

Btw, as already mentioned please replace all MSoft logos with 'proper' ones LOL

Good luck, it can be painful. Many ideas I had failed, and it still isn't a 100% reliable still has it's moments now and then.
But still enjoyable :-)

More photos hopefully
