Did you guys notice that? LemonAmiga.com went pooof
-
Sorry, I think I broke it.
I posted to the lemon64 forums, it said "Your post has been successful" or something, and then a few seconds later everything went to "suspended".
(No idea what's actually killed it!)
-
lemon 64 is down too.

Yep you broke it. What a legacy!

Either doing an upgrade or didnt pay their bill.
-
Hope they are back soon :/...

I notice they are not back soon.....especially when I started to progress a little in the game called Adventure through time >_<
-
last time was 5-6 months back when same happened. I then sent a mail to Kim then and he replied it was a hosting issue and the site was down two days, I guess it's the same issue again.
So if not up tomorrow ill mail and ask him again :)
-
Nup, I'm pretty sure spirantho broke it.
What a lemon... ;\
-
Ah well, better to be infamous than forgotten, I guess.
Muhahahahahaaaa.....
-
spirantho you did that on purpose so we keep mentioning your name and you be center of attention, didn't you? :P

Just demonstrating my EVIL powers.
Behave yourself or it'll be Amiga.org next :)
(wonders if forum will survive this post....)
-
Don't give yourself that much credit man :-P. It just happens the moment you clicked submit their account went into suspend due to lack of paying bill or upgrade. Had you not visited their site in 10 seconds before it went offline and attempted after they went suspend mode you would not think it was you all along...
But I guess you knew that from the beginning which makes me wonder why you blamed yourself from the start? Suffice to say, even if what you said is true that it was indeed your fault (which it is not) it does show bad coding in php and SQL on their side that an average user could crash their site. But seeing as how the code have being working for years I doubt you single handily by clicking submit caused an entire two domains down in one shot.

Did I ruin the fun/joke for you lol?

amigaClassicRule, I think you are taking spirantho too seriously ;)

My humour doesn't always translate well to the web. Or anything else for that matter :)

After I read that...I feel fully satisfied..there is a big grin on my face and I am extremely happy :)

I miss LemonAmiga.. It has been down for days now! :(

as do I. I tend to look on both Lemon 64 and Lemon Amiga if I am bored and want something to play. There is always something interesting if you look through it.
-
It'll be back, don't worry ... switching hosts apparently
-
Huh, still down..? :/
EDIT: Oh "switching hosts".. Just noted the last reply/comment :)
-
I don't visit LemonAmiga that much (only because it is really quiet there last few years) but both must not be lost. Did you know someone actually worked out exactly when the UK launch of the C64 was, something retrogamer didn't manage in 100 issues, on that site?
Someone needs to archive them if they're going to be suspended several times a year. If it is a costing issue maybe they could do a donation page etc too?
-
What a bunch of crap! I finally gt out out of the hospital and Lemon is down.
-
Still down, 2 weeks to switch hosts?
-
You make me sad.
-
I wonder if the domain is in some sort of renewal dispute, at the time of posting there is some nefarious page that looks like a notice of a parked domain. It's not in English and google for once didn't offer to translate so not sure exactly what it says but looks like a default notice by the regristrant of unpaid domain renewal. This is a little strange however as the last time the accounts for lemon were suspended was less than 12 months ago wasn't it?
I'm sure TNT has the Lemon64 database and forums backed up and ditto for whoever is responsible for Lemon Amiga content so even if the domains are being held to ransom over renewal costs at least a new domain may be able to host the old content.
Sad day indeed sir.

The page Says:
"Parked with Loopia.
This domain name is purchased and parked by a client to us. If you want to find on the public ownership and contact information, please use the LoopiaWHOIS ."
If you use the LoopiaWHOIS it returns the following:
Domain Name: LEMONAMIGA.COM
Registrar: ACTIVE 24 AS
Whois Server: whois.active24.com
Referral URL: http://www.active24.com
Name Server: NS1.LOOPIA.SE
Name Server: NS2.LOOPIA.SE
Status: ok
Updated Date: 15-apr-2014
Creation Date: 02-jun-2004
Expiration Date: 02-jun-2014
I went to the google translate page and directly put the URL in for the translation, from Swedish, it said
The activ24.com appears to be a web hosting service
