Title: +4GB Harddrive in OS 3.9
Post by: punkpie on February 13, 2004, 11:01:37 AM
Hi all,

Can someone explain to me, if at all possible, how to install my 20GB IDE Hard Drive so it appears as 1 (possible 2) full partitions?

I'm willing to use another file system to accomplish this although I have try SFS but had problems getting the drive to even be recognised after starting the OS.

Thanks in advance.

Lee

Hmmm... Well, your first partition MUST be less than 2 GB to be able to boot from it using FFS, but once OS 3.9 is installed and both the boingbags (or at least the relevant sections) have been installed too, the rest of the drive should have no problem with FFS and SFS. I have a 40GB and an 80GB drive in mine with 15 and 20GB partitions on them, no problems...

It must me be because I haven't installed the boing bags.  Where do I get the second one?  I've only managed to get the first for www.amiga.com.

Cheers.

Go to: Haage & Partner (http://www.haage-partner.de/aos39/index-e.html) for OS3.9's Boing Bag 2 :-)
