Hi,
I've got an A1200 with a 1gig HD and 18mb memory on a blizzard 030 accelerator board.
The problem is, the hard drive doesn't boot up when you switch the machine on :(. After about 5 or 6 resets from the purple screen it works perfectly fine. :-?
Can anyone help?

So, you mean that from a "cold-boot" (ie. switch on at the plug) the hard drive doesn't work, but with a reset everything's fine?
Some drives aren't ready to go by the time the Amiga attempts to boot from them from cold, because they take time to spin up. When you reset, the drive's already being powered so it works okay.
I think there's a modification you can make to the HD cable or something... although that could be a brainfart. I'll just check...

Um, no I'm thinking of another issue with the reset signal, which you can fix with a cable mod. Sort of the opposite problem to yours, however! :-D
Apparently OS3.1 has a longer delay to wait for the drive to spin up, so if you don't have OS3.1, that could be a worthwhile upgrade.

@tpg
I think you are right about the boot delay problem. My old accelerator had the same problem until I put KS3.1 in there, which has a much longer drive delay.
