Title: 68030 From PowerBook 180 in GVP Accelerator??
Post by: DiskChris on February 20, 2014, 02:09:37 PM
My GVP Accelerator isn't working and I've tried everything I can think of (including trying 2 different crystals) except actually replacing the CPU...I have a broken down PowerBook 180 Mac in the basement...Can I steal its CPU and use it?? The 180 does use a 68030 after all...But I don't know if the pinout would be the same or not...

If the PowerBook's 030 is PGA then it's the same but if it's SMD your out of luck.

P.S. If all else fails, I'm looking for a faulty GVP Combo board to repair my faulty GVP Combo board.
