I have a stock A500 with Kickstart 1.3 and an Action Replay III plugged in the side.
I'm keen to expand the machine but at the same time keep the functionality of the Action Replay. From what I have read AR3's a little fussy with the newer Kickstarts (>2.04) and Fast Ram (>4Mb).
Both are not show stoppers as I like the blue hum of Workbench 1.3 as it reminds me of being kid but I would like to know if I could run with a small amount of Fast Ram (2Mb) and a hard drive, while still having the AR3 plugged in?
I know some external hard drives had pass through connectors, wondered if anyone has had any success with an AR3?
I'm aware of kippers2k internal 4-8Mb IDE card but I think there could be issues. Be a shame if I have to open the case every time I want to use the AR3.
Alternatively I remember as a kid a Zorro doubler for the Amiga 500 which would allow me to have an external hard drive / Ram combo connected AND the AR3 standing upright at 90 degrees - does such a device exist? Are they rare as hens teeth?

I had an internal blizzard turbo board with extra ram and I'm pretty sure that was incompatible with the AR3, but I seem to recall the blizzard was incompatible with my trifecta hard drive too.
You might find putting HRTmon into rom might make more sense.

Might be able to knock one up myself!!

Had an AR III sit on it, between RocHard 800 (2 MB) and A500. And Supraturbo 28. I think max 2 MB was tolerated on the bus and all that stuff needed some swapping depending on what was to be done.
