Title: 4way buffered EIDE strange problem
Post by: Vulture on January 08, 2014, 10:42:10 AM
Guys, I have this weird weird problem:

I've installed a 4way buffered eide on my A1200 and put a 2.5 hd and a dvd-rw on each channel. Now, they work, that's fine, but the hd led is always , always on. I've tried to disconnect one of the two devices and change the hd leds with another set, but that didn't help at all. Anyone else faced a similar problem? Any other idea about it?

Thx!

I have the same one in my A1200 with a DOM (disk-on-module) instead of a HD and no LED pb (but I only have the DOM connected, nothing else).
Is there something about the LED in the doc ?

sadly, I've no doc (bought it second hand) and there's no readme in the driver archive.

So if you disconnect your EIDE and just use the harddrive in the 2.5" port you don't have this problem?

I have two EIDE and have not had this problem with any of them. But i have seen that some users have this problem when using CF drives (without even using EIDE)
