The HxC allows booting ADF images from SD.
The ACA500 allows booting a hard drive from CF.
Is there any device that can do both?
I have a number of obscure games not supported by WHDLoad, but I also want to restore my old hard disk backup to flash card.
My best bet right now is to put a Raspberry Pi in a dead Amiga's case and do it all through emulation.

I do not think such add on exist that uses expansion port and/or PATA interface and the floppy all in one.
The HxC + any Amiga with PATA interface and a CF to PATA adapter would be the easiest if you do not want to do emulation I guess.
Edit:
You could use the Minimig for what you want tho, read both hard drive file and floppy from a SD card.

Thanks! In that case please see this post http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=66684

Doesn't the HxC replace the floppy drive though? So why can't you have both connected at the same time?
Sorry, can you be more specific as to what the problem is?

Please see link in my post above. I need a device that can emulate floppy and hard disks all in one. I'm not clear what you mean when you refer to "both connected at the same time".

The ACA 500 is an Amiga 500 expansion and I thought the Minimig doesn't have a floppy port.
Are you trying to get this working on a Minimig (in which case just use the Minimig's emulation to do both) or on an A500 (in which case just connect both, as they use different ports).
Sorry, maybe I'm being thick (quite common this time of the morning :) ) but it's not clear what you're trying to do: expand an Amiga or use a Minimig.

I'd be happy with either option. Expand an Amiga, or use a standalone device. The only exception is I'd want to put the Minimig inside a dead Amiga 500 case. Let's continue at the other thread, as I'm being told there that the Minimig can't support the A500 keyboard :-(
