Hello,
I've recently updated my MUI drawer with the latest files off both Aminet and the YAM server and the MUI Libs for ALL flavours of Amiga are dated wrongly.
This caused WookieChat to crash when Loading.
I've reverted back to the previous versions of the MUI Libs and WookieChat runs fine again.
Please see attached Grabs showing the Libs dating error.
REMINDER LAG 36 is due on Saturday the 4th of January 2014, weather permitting.
Stay tuned to our web site
See http://lincsamiga.org.uk/
Kind regards, Michael

Sorry, I lost you. What you mean by dated wrongly? What MUI libraries you are talking about? And how can it cause any program to crash? Programs ignore dates.

Hi itix,
Quote
"The latest mui/libs files off both Aminet and the YAM server are dated wrongly."
and when I unpacked them (I run OS ver 3.9) and installed them WookiChat crashed on loading.
So not being a programmer I assumed there was a fault with the libs because of the oddness caused by the mui/libs being dated wrong.
Because when I reverted back to the previous ver of the mui/libs WookieChat ran fine.

What kind of joke is this?

This thread does not belong to news but into the beginners sections. It's a "stupid user error".

Hi Thomas,
Thanks for the compliment.
I posted the "News" about an MUI update error.
I posted the "News" about our next LAG meeting.
And
From a "helpful" member on AW.

"The same probleme here.. problem is nlistview.mcc class (last version) back to 0.116 MCC Nlist and Wookiechat is working!"

It is not a stupid user error - please try to not use such a sharp tone, especially at this most festive time of year.
Rockape was reporting that some new MUI Classes have been released that are causing Wookiechat to crash, it is not the incorrect date that is the cause but these new libraries that cause problems can be identified by their unusual date created.
Seasons greetings everyone :) Peace and good will to all Amigans. <:-)
