Title: Melody 1200 and Blizzard 1260 uncompatible?
Post by: drHirudo on February 10, 2004, 04:52:40 AM
Hello,
I bought brand new Melody 1200 for the clock port, received it and put it on the computer and it doesn't work when the Blizzard 1260 is installed. If I press 2 on boot, or remove the board, the soundcard works fine. There are no switches on the soundcard, and the only jumper on the blizzard is for the fastram ROM remapper and it doesn't work (I tried). Any suggestions to make both expansions to work? No I would prefer using the 060 than switch back to 020 or 030 and using the soundcard!

try to flash the card to latest flashrom update, i used a prelude 1200 for a long time and there where no problems with that (also clockport) .

also the maprom jumper should be CONNECTED (as in ON) , also it does normally work so i suggest that you try another jumper (maybe u have one in a drawer :) )

sorry for not helping but heh, itching in my fingers! , + i did actually give u a few hints!.

goodluck!

Also have had problem using 1230.scsi (Blizzard) when Melody1200 was connected. Have sent the system to Vesalia and after a week they found out that the Melody1200 and Blizzard scsi don“t work together ...
