Title: A1000 Floppy
Post by: Steady on February 09, 2004, 10:34:55 AM
Hi all

Does anyone know if an A500 internal floppy fits an A1000. I imagine so, but was wondering if anyone knows for sure.

I was hoping at least one person would know. Any takers?

hi :-)

If I remember well the A1000 floppy is thicker than the A500 model for the same width, and the interface is not exactly the same.

Voxel is right about the height. The A1000 floppy was a lot higher. But a little judicious drilling in the A1000 mounting bracket would get it fitted correctly.

But the interface was no problem with any true Amiga floppy drive. They'll all work in an A1000. I had a low profile, high density floppy working in my 1000, although the high density aspect never worked right for me.

Hi Paul,

how are your monster?

Do you remember me? (Bitplane Magazine-Italy).

Let me know if you have a new AOne "monster" for a review :-)
