i normally use easyvcd to convert any dvds i wanna make a vcd to play on my amigacd32..fmv..
had a dvd copy of the movie lake placid croc one .just wouldnt work ..so i just decided to play with converting to a mpeg using freemakevideoconverter ..made a mpeg 2 tv quality file ..the using nero i burnt it to a cd ..nero automatically converted it to vcd ..an the best part ..whole movie on one disc ..not 2 ....quality looks same as norm vcd sound is good ..so how come it only needed one disc ?? no getting up half way thru to change the disc..love it ..

Question:
Never had a CD32.
I used to watch vcds on an A1200 PPC Voodoo 3 and the framerate was decent but not perfect. How is on a CD32 compared to a pc?

Is it a really short movie? I was under the impression there was only one usable bitrate for VCD MPEGs, the same way you can only get ~80 minutes out of an audio CD.

VideoCD uses mpeg 1 with static bitrate. You could probably achieve better quality with VBR but i'm not sure the CD32 would play it.
EDIT: ok i see nero converted it too mpeg 1 later.

turns out the movie was just small enuff to fit on one cd ..quality is quite good..latest effort was coverting a blue ray mp4 copy of sharknado to normal dvd than i converted the dvd to a vcd to play on cd32 ..ended up half screen but quality great ..sound great ..
