I brought an Accton EN2226 network card. I should have got a Accton EN2216 instead. Is it still usable on the Amiga?
Got the compatibility info from this site:
http://www.amigahistory.co.uk/ethernet.html (http://www.amigahistory.co.uk/ethernet.html)
I downloaded cnet.devcice from aminet which includes drivers and config tools. One tool did verify that the card exists but I don't know where to go from here.
Pls help
Tony

Assuming the cnet.device will talk to an EN2226 (depends how similar it is to the EN2216) - I guess your next step would be to install a TCP/IP stack and see if you can assign an IP address to it.
Personally I'd go with AmiTCP although the installer can be a little buggy. Others would recommend Miami, AmiKit's 'EasyNet' (which I think does wired as well as wireless?) or Roadshow.

At the mo ive tried genesis.
With cnetdevice. drivers I get this from card info:
Appears to be a network card
CCR offset address (16bit) = $000800, Config ID = $01
Interface Type 1, uses: RDYBSYWAIT
Getting I/O memory now - remove card if system rezzes!
Saving card to t:card_info.bin
Card_info done.
When I try to initialise in Genesis I get this message: Card reset failed, card not compatible? At the mo im using cnet16 drivers. Will try all the others.
Not sure what to do next?

Ok. I have a new card as recommended by someone from Amibay. Its a Speedtouch PCMCIA 802.11b WiFi card. The op claimed that he and other eab users had no problems running it with WPA-PSK and TKIP.
I have MiamiDX, Genesis and the Prism2.device installed but I don't know where to go from here. Can someone pls help.
Cheers
Tony

Have you isntalled the cardreset tool which overcomes an issue with the A1200. You can get the tool from Aminet. The card will not go online until you use the tool.

Just because the card detection tool can identify the card doesn't mean it will work unfortunately. If you don't have much experience with Amiga or Unix networking I would try Miami as it's the easiest to get working. Once you've got it working with Miami I'd try and get Amitcp working (I use version 3.02b) as it uses less resources.
I have a guide for setting up amitcp that I downloaded from the web a few years ago, I just did a quick google search and couldn't find it. If you have trouble setting it up PM me and I'll send you the guide as a word doc.
