Has anyone tried to get these low power 68K processors working in an Amiga?

Um, I haven't tried one yet.
But they are cheap and some of the PLCC versions clock pretty hign.

Has anyone got any information on how you would increase the CPU clock of an A2000?

The 68hc000 works just fine as a replacement for the 68000
the hc is CMOS low power version of the NMOS 68000, its completely pin compatible.

the 68hc000 were available in dip format and up to 20mhz i think.

Not sure about the Amiga, I've tried 2 MC68HC000P16's in an ST and because its CMOS it won't drive the bus - not enough power on lines.  I would think the same thing might be true of the Amiga.  Interested to hear if anyone has one working.  The other problem with some of those faster processors is the cache.  I've heard that just increasing clock speed on a 500 can cause loads of incompatibilites.

I am primarily concerned with the clocking issues myself.
Right now, I'm looking at buying a few 68HC000 20MHz PLCCs to work on a homebrew design.

Anyone here want to take any off my hands that I don't need?
