Someone on here, a while back ago, pointed me to a device which can be used with the Amiga, and allows you to use multiple MIDI instrument as input devices on the Amiga, and apparently, it auto detects which instrument is being played so that a manual switch is not required.
At present I own a device I got from the UK. It has a switch and allows for me to switch between 1 of 2 instruments for input, but that's it. I need to be able to use ALL my gear as input.
Anyone?

Granted, I don't know a whole lot about MIDI, but isn't the way to do this to use the MIDI Thru port? Not all gear has it, but there must be a way to daisy chain all sorts of stuff together. Maybe this (http://www.midisolutions.com/prodqmr.htm) is the workaround?

I "think" that is what I am looking for. Though I think the model I was suggested was blue. None the less, this looks to be what I need, can anyone verify that?
Also, I have never touched my through ports on my MIDI devices, would using this allow me to use two or more midi devices as input controller to the Amiga without triggering one another in the process?

MIDI Thru doesn't typically stack the information from MIDI In with the device's own output, though - it just passes on MIDI In untouched. (Some gear has an option to change this, but not a lot.) If you really need input from multiple devices, you'll have to get a switcher or a more advanced junction device that combines the output signals from multiple devices onto one line.

Google "MIDI MERGE BOX" or "MIDI PATCH BAY" (latter is even more versatile than former, but more expensive).
