It is not mine but someone from Melbourne, Florida. I looked at it last night. It is not completely white, you can tell that there is a slight difference from the bottom to the top and the warranty seal is not there. I looked at it under light and I doubt there evere were a warranty seal. Mine didn't have one either.
It is brand new. She wants to sell it. Comes with PSU, the Amiga, the pink plastic protectice bag and the the two pieces of styrofoam.
PM if anyone is interested. I took a bunch of pictures. This is indeed a brand new Amiga.
Asking $100. She is okay with local pick up.
$100 including shipping...

You know, I am sitting here looking at these pictures. This Amiga has no scratches at all. From the pictures it looks like it is old and dirty.
I'll try and take some other pictures.

Pretty sure I have a complete set of mint keys for an A500. Too bad she's asking $200. Where on earth did she get that price point from and are you selling this on consignment for her?
Where's the mouse, manuals and box? Any dirt or wear on the rubber standoffs underneath? They definitely look dirty according to what little we can see. What's the mouse cable, ball and its standoffs look like? Any dirt or lint on the rollers of the mouse? Judging from the power supply pic, cables do not look like they've been sitting "as new" all these years either. Any sign the trapdoor has been pried? True NOS A500 should have no 501 or equivalent. Have potentially seen better used examples honestly. If this was an answer to a CL ad, chances are extremely high that it's NOT really NOS. Either way, NOS doesn't mean jack if it's been stored improperly all these years. Such as somewhere in a Floridian garage, attic or shed. ;)
I might be interested, but not at that price.
-
In my opinion that isn't new old stock either.
That's used.
-
That is a used amiga and far from "New Old Stock"
Also, EVERY amiga shipped with a warranty sticker for obvious reasons...
so not only is it not "NOS" but its USED and has been opened.

$100 including shipping to US
-
Does it have a memory expansion in the trapdoor? It doesn't appear to be sitting flat.

I would NOT recommend buying anything from this guy!! I bought the a500 SCSI side car from him and it didn't work. I sent him a message and he responded with "does the item smell of pee?". I didn't believe someone would be as sick or disturbed as to urinate on an item you bought from them while using his payment method of western union and the risks involved. But sure enough I pulled the ram and found what appeared to be urine on the contacts and pooled inside the sockets. Closer inspection I could see the dried urine all over the board. Again I can't think for the life of me why someone would urinate on an item someone bought and paid for or why you would destroy an Amiga part but this guy actually did. Beware of this very sick and twisted individual.

What, wait a minute. I don't sell anything. I was given this Amiga because it couldn't sell or whatever. BTW, it is not for sale anymore, as written above, it was given to me, and it is a keeper. "Ahhh", that fresh Amiga smell, no pee stains, fresh out of the plastic. On a serious note, it was posted for a friend.
This has to be a total mistake. I would never pee on anything Amiga related. ;)
This has got to be a joke. Do I know you?

I actually wouldn't mind an NTSC Amiga in the UK (for peanuts) even just a motherboard would do. I recently played Lotus II in WinUAE in PAL and NTSC and in NTSC it is even faster (and hence more challenging).
So if anyone has an NTSC mobo in the UK they want to sell for beer money give me shout :)
-
jamiga is that serious? If so thats serious effd up.
@ amiga nut i doubt anyone with a rare NTSC 500 in europe would give it away "for beer money"

Can't you just force it into NTSC via Degrader, or WHDLoad, or one of the other zillion tools which do this same thing?
And wow, that pee story, I'd have to see some of the original correspondence to believe that, but ugh!

I got a message last night explaining what went down. So, this is what happened:
User 'jamiga64' bought this GVP A530 with the PC CPU card installed and 4MB of RAM. Seller was asking $250 for it. (that may be a tad high, but none of my business) 'jamiga64' was whining through out the sale and even being a bully saying that seller would get kicked of the board (AmiBay) (I saw the E-Mail 'jamiga64' send, so no lying)
Then 'jamiga64' started crying about that there were no cover for the damm thing so that was added to the pot, a brand new cover. Then the price went down, down, down. Ended up with 30 some dollars plus shipping. 'jamiga64' still owes $13 that he hasn't paid.
I can only imagine what has been said on Amibay. I am not going to check, it doesn't matter.
'jamiga64' then wrote last night on Amiga.org - warning, warning, Florida can't be trusted. Yeah, what's my name?...'jamiga64', grow up.
Any more crap from you ('jamiga64') I'll swing by St. Louis and give you a refund on someone's else behalf. Oops, yeah, that's right, I have your address.
Ban me, do whatever. I am not going to accept someone attacking me like this. That's is the last I am going to respond to this.
On a lighter note. I cracked it open, it has a rev. 6A motherboard. Not bad.
-
Are you referring to the following item on Amibay?
GVP Impact Series II A500-HD+ w/4MB RAM and 80286PC upgrade module installed.
Just curious :kitty:
-
Yet another reason to avoid the stupid fest called Amibay
-
Maybe when that jamiga guy saw the 286 module, he thought PeeCee and... oh never mind.

I'm totally serious. This guy goes by CentralFlordia on Amibay. He has the same exact items listed there as here. His "message" he received is a total lie. The price was listed as $50 plus shipped and that's what I paid. Sorry no "whining" here buddy. I've bought and sold hundreds if Amiga and other vintage computer items and NEVER been this shocked or disgusted. I've got all the original emails I would happily show to anyone. The only reason I'm posting this story is because I was beyond disgusted on so many levels, I hate being ripped off, and hoped to stop this person from doing this again. Take what you want from it but I have no reason to make this up.
-
Oh and I don't need a refund not asking for one and never have. But you can swing on by anytime buddy. Although I don't think you'll be happy with that outcome.
-
Photos of emails. I finished reading his post just now. Not sure I would need these as he just admitted he had my address. There are some serious issues with this individual.
-
Florida,
If it doesn't sell, in the next couple of weeks, let me know. I may pick it up off you. I could use a 6A mobo.
-
Methuselas: Sorry dude, that computer is a keeper. If I change my mind I'll let you know. :)

"CentralFL" (on amibay) claims to be a chick, and is just friends with "Florida" (on here)... (is there a "CentralFlorida" too? edit, there is, but that account is now inactive on amibay?)
Apparently they aren't the same person... I wouldn't do business with either of them though... lol

Odd too that the "mayraevygrant@yahoo.com" address links to this fairly disposable looking Facebook account for Jack Smith:
-
This story get gets more strange with every post! So a chick pee'd on the Amiga gear? Do a test on the pee.. it will probably come up positive for a baby TROLL!
-
If there really is to be urine on anything, I'd hope it was pet pee. As in, someone's pet accidentally pee'd on something. People are strange enough as it is. ;)
-
who's more scary? the girl to the left? ROFL
what did you learn today kids? don't sell on AMIBAY
Facebook link removed per member request.
-
Well, that's real brave, hide behind a user account you haven't used in 5 years to post links to someone's facebook :insane:
-
Real funny. I guess that's what the cool kids do on Saturday night. Search for someone's FB and post it on a computer forum. You're cool.
-
Some of my C64 gear had most likely been pee'd on :)
